What are the pressure and purity requirements for the LCO₂?

To ensure peak performance and protect the longevity of your solid dry ice machine, we recommend specific standards for your liquid CO₂ supply. The ideal pressure inside your storage tank should be consistently maintained between 16 and 22 bar (230-320 PSI). As for purity, an industrial or food-grade LCO₂ with a purity level of 99.9% or higher is required.

Using a lower purity source can introduce moisture and other contaminants, which may lead to ice buildup within the valves and affect the final quality of the dry ice blocks. Adhering to these standards is key to achieving both high efficiency and reliable operation.
