How often does the hydraulic oil (No. 46) need to be changed?
For a heavy-duty dry ice machine, the hydraulic oil is its lifeblood. Under normal operating conditions, we recommend the first oil change after the initial 500 hours of “break-in” operation to remove any microscopic particles. After that, a full oil change every 2,000 operating hours or once a year is standard. Keeping the oil clean and at the correct level ensures your dry ice press machine maintains maximum compression force and protects the expensive hydraulic pump from premature wear.
